# **How to Paste Scripts in the Browser Console**
Use this guide when a support page or tool asks you to run a short JavaScript snippet in your browser console. The console is part of the browser developer tools.
## Important
- Paste scripts only from a source you trust, such as the official Quizit.online site or support team.
- Do not paste code from unknown messages, ads, or random websites.
- Closing the console or refreshing the page usually stops the script. Some changes may last until you clear site data or sign out.
## Step 1: Open the browser console
### Chrome, Edge, or Brave
1. Open the page where you want to run the script.
2. Press F12, or Ctrl + Shift + J on Windows/Linux, or Cmd + Option + J on Mac.
3. Or right-click the page, choose Inspect, then open the Console tab.
### Firefox
1. Open the page.
2. Press F12, or Ctrl + Shift + K on Windows/Linux, or Cmd + Option + K on Mac.
3. Or right-click the page, choose Inspect, then open the Console tab.
### Safari
1. Enable the Develop menu: Safari → Settings → Advanced → Show features for web developers.
2. Open the page.
3. Press Cmd + Option + C, or use Develop → Show JavaScript Console.
## Step 2: Paste the script
1. Click inside the console input area, usually at the bottom of the panel.
2. Paste the script with Ctrl + V on Windows/Linux, or Cmd + V on Mac.
3. Press Enter to run it.
If the script is long and wraps across lines, paste the full text first, then press Enter.
## Step 3: Confirm it ran
After you press Enter, you should usually see a result or confirmation message, or no red error.
If you see a red error, the script did not run correctly. Copy the error text and contact support if you need help.
## Common issues
- Paste does nothing: click the console input field first, then paste again.
- Chrome shows a “Don’t paste code…” warning: continue only if you trust the source.
- Script fails: make sure you are on the correct page and signed in if required.
- Console is hard to find: press F12, then select the Console tab.
## Summary
1. Open the target page.
2. Open DevTools with F12 or your browser shortcut.
3. Go to the Console tab.
4. Paste the script and press Enter.
5. Check for a success message or errors.
